Hello there!
I’m Haley Wright.

I’m a ballerina-turned-multidisciplinary-designer who doesn’t fit in any one box. I’m passionate about fusing my several skills—including branding, motion, print, and digital design—to devise creative solutions to complex problems.

Visual Identity

I created the visual identity for Press Your Luck, a chain panini restaurant, seeking to create a clean yet light and playful feel for the brand. I achieved this through the incorporation of a friendly script typeface, a variety of simple textural background shapes, and a relatively neutral color scheme that allows the contrasting light pink and dark green to shine. I designed all assets using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects.

Mobile Ordering App Design

I designed the mobile ordering app for Press Your Luck using Adobe XD. I first researched competitor mobile ordering apps, including that of Starbucks, Panera Bread, Dunkin Donuts, and Chipotle, to note the key features of this type of application and the different approaches to layout, informational hierarchy, and navigation. I then created user personas to more deeply explore features that users would desire, including the ability to save favorite orders for a quick check out, receive promotional offers, and locate nearby cafés. Next, I moved into wireframing, creating iterative prototypes using an 8pt grid system to ensure consistent spacing and visual hierarchy. I then created a more fleshed out version, utilizing the Stark Adobe XD Plugin to ensure that my design followed best accessibility practices.
