Clinton Performing Arts Center
Visual identity and web design for a vibrant performing arts center
Visual Identity
I created the visual identity for Clinton Performing Arts Center, a vibrant community art space. I sought to create a friendly yet modern feel for the organization, as the performing arts center seeks to enrich the community through state-of-the-art performances. The visual identity needs to feel approachable yet also spark a sense of curiosity and excitement.
To achieve this, I chose a complementary color scheme of purple and yellow to symbolize the creativity, warmth, and power of the space. I also utilized a friendly sans-serif typeface, Syne, for the logotype and used its bold font for headlines to infuse a contemporary feel. The logo—inspired by Clinton’s famous mill and using 12 spokes to represent 12 months of the year—creates an abstract blooming, representing the plethora of feelings that the arts can evoke. I designed all assets using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Web Design
I designed a website for Clinton Performing Arts Center using Figma. I used the Stark Plugin and an 8pt grid system to ensure accessibility and consistent spacing throughout the design.
