Art in the Open Postcard

A postcard designed to advertise the 2022 Art in the Open, an outdoor open studio event in Philadelphia, sponsored by Center for Emerging Visual Artists

As a part of my internship with the Center for Emerging Visual Artists in Philadelphia, PA, I was asked to design a postcard for their annual art-making event Art in the Open. This event takes place along the Schuylkill River and invites members of the general public to have a hands-on experience creating alongside professional artists; the collaborative works are then displayed for the public to enjoy.

I designed the custom postcard in Canva, as it ensured that other members of the team could easily update any information on the card. I used the pre-existing logo and the event’s location alongside the river as inspiration for the postcard design; the light blue sky meets the green grass, finally leading to the river.
